Whitinsville - Kristin E. (Krayer) Bousquet, 53, of Heritage Dr. passed away on Sunday July 7, 2024 at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston after a courageous battle with leukemia.
Kristin, "Kris", was the beloved wife of Corey J. Bousquet, and daughter of the late Paul “Keith” and Margaret “Maggi” (Whalen) Krayer. Born in Towson, MD on April 27, 1971, they relocated to Acton, MA shortly thereafter where she was raised. A graduate from Acton Boxborough High School, Kris went on to graduate from the Katharine Gibbs School, where she perfected her Secretarial skills.
She lived in Whitinsville since 2004, and was employed as the Office Manager for J.D. Bousquet and Sons Inc. in Manchaug the past 14 years.
In addition to her husband of 19 years, Corey, Kris is survived by siblings Kate Hurley of Charleston, SC, Ed Krayer and his wife Susie of Winchester, Kara McKenna and her husband Jamie of Stow, Jim Krayer and his wife Wendy of Concord, father-in-law Theodore “Ted” Bousquet of Manchaug, and brother-in-law Christopher Bousquet and wife Heather of Manchaug. Additionally, nieces and nephews Maggie, Erin and Liam Hurley, Justin, Whitney, Devon and Charlie Krayer, Kasey, Connor and Kate McKenna, Dylan, Matthew and Hillary Krayer, and Brandon and Brianna Bousquet, as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was predeceased by her mother-in-law Linda (Boucher) Bousquet, brother-in-law Bill Hurley, and of course her parents, Maggi & Keith Krayer.
Kris was loved by all who knew her. She loved the beach and spent many summers in Falmouth and Mashpee. She and Corey enjoyed taking road trips, and their annual trips to Hawaii and Las Vegas were very special to them. Kris was always up for getting together with friends, and took great pride in her family outings, especially those that included her special family recipe, the “Maggerita”! She had a knack for dates and was always the first to wish you a happy birthday, happy anniversary, or whatever your “special day” was. She was the best Aunt to her many nieces and nephews and thoroughly enjoyed attending their sporting events, be it in a cold hockey rink, a crowded dance auditorium, or on a scorching hot lacrosse field. Kris truly had the biggest heart and will be sorely missed by so, so many.
Her Memorial Calling Hours will be held at the Jackman Funeral Home, 7 Mechanic Street in Douglas, on Tues. August 6, 2024 from 12-3pm. All are welcome to attend.
