Uxbridge- Kay E. (Davis) Pineo, 89, passed away Saturday, April 4, 2026 at AdviniaCare of Northbridge after a period of declining health. Her husband of 35 years, Arnold A. “Bud” Pineo died July 25, 2010.
She is survived by two children, Mitchell Woods and his wife Cindy of North Branford, CT, and Janice Martin of Millville; her stepsons, Robert Pineo and his wife Rose of Marston Mills; Keith and William Pineo; 4 grandchildren, Justin Woods and his fiancé Courtney Cattaruzza of Branford, CT, Sarah Flournoy and her husband Cameron of Webster, MA Christine Nichols and her husband Ryan of Douglas, Ryan Woods and his wife Kirstin of Burlington, CT, Madeline Pineo of Gloucester, and Charles Pineo of Centerville; 4 great-grandchildren, Chase, Aiden, Elaina, and Harper, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two children, Brenda Woods and Thomas Woods; a stepdaughter, Deborah Pineo; and was sister of the late Warren Davis, Pearl Hinshillwood, Virginia Yates, Rhoda Jones, and Ervin Davis.
Born in Camden, NJ on August 27, 1936, she was the daughter of George W. and Clara (Yeager) Davis and grew up in Westville, NJ. She was a graduate of the Westville Public school system and furthered her education by attending the Episcopal Hospital Nursing School in Philadelphia, earning her Registered Nursing Degree. She had been an Uxbridge resident for 52 years .
Mrs. Pineo enjoyed a long career in nursing, working for Norwood Hospital, St. Camillus Nursing Home and as an IV nurse for Milford Hospital. She had also worked as a real estate broker and owned and operated Century 21 Real Estate in Uxbridge and Whitinsville with her husband Bud for many years. She retired in 2003.
Kay enjoyed quilting, connecting with others, and traveling to new places. Together, she and Bud shared many memorable journeys, flying in Bud’s private plane, spending time with friends at the Whitin Reservoir, and enjoying socializing at familiar spots like Brian’s Restaurant and the Cock n’ Kettle. Above all, she treasured time spent with family, especially hosting holidays and creating warm, lasting memories.
Her funeral service will be held in Tancrell- Jackman Funeral Home, 35 Snowling Rd., Uxbridge on Thursday, April 9th at 3PM. Visiting hours will be held prior to the service from 1-3 PM. Burial will be privately held at the convenience of her family. In lieu of flowers, donations in Kay’s memory may be made to: St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
