Kathleen "Kathie" Givner Obituary
Sutton- Kathleen A. (Ferry) Givner, 72, died peacefully at UMass University Hospital on July 20, 2025 after an illness.
She is survived by her son, Jeff Givner of Branford, CT, her daughter Casey and her husband Ryan Davidson of Sutton; her sister-in-law’s Claire Ferry and Deborah Ferry; her grandsons, Kyle Givner and Jack Davidson, as well as several beloved cousins, nephews and nieces including, Sean Ferry, Kris Lange and Olivia Lange, with whom she shared a very close bond. She also leaves her long-time friends Carole, Pam, Gloria, Sue, Steve, Shelley and Elaine as well as her “surrogate kids” Keith, Chris, Kim, Darlene, Mel, Kara, Tristan, Brian and Dawn.
She was predeceased by her parents, Robert J. Sr. and Rita C. (Guertin) Ferry, as well as her brothers Robert Ferry Jr., Dennis Ferry, and her sister, Maureen Wrona.
Born in Milford on June 12, 1953, Kathie was a resident of Sutton the past 25 years, previously living in Whitinsville. Growing up in Uxbridge, Kathie was a student at the former Good Shepherd School and a proud graduate of St. Mary’s Catholic High School in Milford, class of 1971. Her memories from her school days were amongst her most cherished right up until her passing.
Kathie was employed 30+ years for Beaumont Nursing Homes in both Northbridge, and Worcester facilities. She retired in 2018, after a long career in nursing where she helped countless Alzheimer’s patients and their families through their most difficult times. Kathie was an avid reader and crafter, and a true crime fan, but her true calling in life was being a devoted grandmother to her two grandsons.
