Kathleen Lewis Obituary

Uxbridge- Kathleen A. (Lambert) Lewis, 78, passed away on Sunday, March 5, 2023 at Milford Hospital after a long illness.

She is survived by 3 daughters, Ms. Rusty Murray of Bennington, VT, Cindy Palmer and husband Paul of Northbridge,  Linda Kessler and her husband Joe of Whitinsville; 3 grandchildren, Christopher Plitouke and his fiancé Brianna Walther, Brandon, and Brian Havalotti of Millbury, 2 great-grandchildren Keagan and Ryder Plitouke ; 2 siblings, Edward Lambert of Whitinsville, and Rosie Burgess of Worcester; along with 2 nephews, Wayne and Billy Burgess.

Born in Whitinsville, MA on Dec. 17, 1944, she was the daughter of Catherine (Donovan) Lambert and grew up and lived in Whitinsville most of her life. She was a graduate of Northbridge High School class of 1962. Kathleen worked as an Animal Lab Technician for UMass Medical Center for many many years, then Uxbridge Animal Hospital. She also worked for Fenwal in Ashland, and was employed as a CNA for the Greater Milford VNA in Mendon until her retirement in 1997.

Kathy was a thrill seeking, happy, fun-loving, extremely witty woman who was always cracking jokes. In her younger years, she was an equestrian who enjoyed horseback riding, barrel racing, and pole bending to which she won trophies and ribbons galore. She was on the field hockey team, softball team, and the swim team in high school, and even became a cliff diver.

She loved the ocean and spending time at the beach with her daughter, especially York Beach Maine and Good Harbor Beach in Gloucester. Kathy was an avid baker and every Saturday at 8am on the dot she enjoyed baking her grandchildren special homemade treats, a tradition they enjoyed their entire lives. Kathy also loved spending time with her daughter’s friends Shelli and Paula, usually laughing till they cried, or someone pee'd their pants. In recent times, she was in good company with loving Nana, Papa, and Bob Havalotti who loved her so much, and enjoyed her weekend sleepovers when Rusty was home. Above all she loved her family.. Although she is gone, she will never be forgotten.

She was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Whitinsville.
