Julie A. Hackathorn

Uxbridge- Julie A. Hackathorn, 41, formerly of Northbridge, passed away on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at Milford Regional Hospital after being stricken ill. 

       She is survived by her daughter Jocelyn Hackathorn of Northbridge;  her mother, Jean F. (Hourihan) Hackathorn of Uxbridge with whom she lived; her father, Mark Hackathorn and stepmother Lillian of Northbridge; her fiance Marc Anthony of Coventry, RI; 2 uncles, Dale Hackathorn and his wife Elyzabeth and Scott Hackathorn Sr. both of Whitinsville; 4 step siblings, Jason Miller, Joseph Stand Jr., Matthew Stand, and Angela Stand; cousins, Alexander Hackathorn, Scott Hackathorn Jr. and Christopher Hackathorn; 2 nephews Enzo and Santino Stand; a niece, Hope Stand and many friends.

       Born in Framingham, MA on August 2, 1982 Julie grew up in Whitinsville. She was educated at the Whitinsville Christian School, and graduated from Northbridge High School, Class of 2000. She continued her education taking classes at Worcester State College. 

     Julie worked as an Office Administrator for Staples Inc. in Framingham and for EMC Corp. in Hopkinton. Later in life, Julie went back to school to fulfill her goal of becoming a Medical Coder. 

       Julie enjoyed gardening, baking, and was an avid reader. A music lover, she was notorious for knowing every song on the radio. She played the piano and was a talented make-up artist and manicurist. She loved walking the beach, especially in Maine. Sweet, bubbly, and chatty, she was intelligent, and will be sorely missed by everyone whose lives she touched. 

    Her Memorial Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 2nd at 6PM in Jackman Funeral Home, 12 Spring St., Whitinsville. Calling hours will be held prior to the service from 4-6 PM.
