Whitinsville - Joyce M. (Edwards) Romeiro passed away on February 5, 2022 at Blackstone Valley Health & Rehab after a long journey with dementia.
She is survived by her son, Gerald N. Isabelle Jr. and his wife Gloria of Live Oak, Texas; her daughter Deborah A. Castell and her husband Brian of Whitinsville; her daughter Melissa J. Isabelle and her partner Timothy Stevens of Windsor Locks, CT; 5 grandchildren, Justin Castell and his wife Kelsey of Whitinsville; Gerald N. Isabelle III and his wife Tara of Bossier City, Louisiana; Stacy Castell of Whitinsville; Dominick Yacino and his wife Nichole of Danielson, CT; Anthony Yacino and his partner Yoselin Lopez of Bristol, CT; and five great grandchildren, Natalie, Seth, Gracyn, Alex and Angelina. She was also predeceased by her sister Colleen Lewis.
Born in Uxbridge on February 6, 1938, Joyce was the daughter of Clarence and Edla Edwards. She attended and graduated from the Uxbridge Public School system. She lived in Uxbridge and Whitinsville through the early 90’s and then moved to Tarpon Springs, Florida where she resided until moving back to Whitinsville in 2010.
Though many of her memories faded, she never forgot time spent on Cape Cod when she was a child nor did she forget her favorite grand dog, Remy whom she cared for when his parents were at work or on vacation. She loved to read, crochet and cook. Her blankets and recipes will be enjoyed for many years to come.
Her family would like to extend a special thank you to the caregivers at Blackstone Valley Health and Rehab and the JHC hospice team for taking care of her these last few years.
Her funeral mass will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at 11 AM at St. Patrick’s Church, 1 Cross St., Whitinsville. Burial will follow in Prospect Hill Cemetery in Uxbridge.
