Douglas- John Francis Novack, aged 71, of Pine St., formerly of Wallum Lake Terrace, passed away Friday July 4th, 2025, at UMASS Memorial Hospital in Worcester after a long illness. He was surrounded by his loving family.
John was born in Milford, MA on March 14, 1954, and was son of the late Francis “Frank” and Beverly (Philbrook) Novack. He was raised and educated in Uxbridge, and lived in Douglas over 50 years.
He is survived by his two daughters, Tara Colucci and, her husband Kevin of Douglas, with whom he lived, and Kristin Nevins of Basking Ridge, NJ; 4 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; his brother Stephen Novack of Whitinsville; his sister Karen Piazza and her husband John of Attleboro; his former wife of many years, Diane in FL; and a niece and a nephew.
A hard worker, John was employed as a jack of all trades and a crane operator for R.H. White Construction Company in Auburn for over 50 years. He retired in the early 2000's.
A quiet man, Mr. Novack enjoyed playing video games and being around his home. He will be remembered as a kind and thoughtful man and will be missed by everyone whose lives he touched.
