Northbridge- John E. Jacques, 58, formerly of the Manchaug section of Sutton, passed away suddenly on Friday, May 3,, 2024, after being stricken ill.
He is survived by his significant other, Cherie Hovey with whom he spent the last 7 years and lived with; 3 sons, John J. Jacques and his fiancé Amie of Avon, MA, Joshua D. Jacques and his fiancé Kelsey of Canterbury, CT, and Mathew D. Jacques and his fiancé Meaghan of Douglas; 3 grandchildren, Anastasia, Madelynn, and Jaianna; 6 siblings, Donna Jacques of Douglas, Stephen Jacques of FL, Debbie Buma and her husband Tom of Northbridge, Lynn Cone and her husband Phil of Northbridge, Lisa Moran and her husband Bob of Sutton, and Traci Jacques of Northbridge; his brother-in-law, Rob Riopel, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, and good friends. He was brother of the late Michael Jacques, Lori Ann Jacques Riopel, and was also predeceased by his nephew Joey Jacques.
Born in Worcester on March 25, 1966 he was son of the late Joseph and Eleanor (Godbout) Jacques and grew up in Manchaug. He had lived in Northbridge the past several years. A hard worker, John worked as a custodian for Woonsocket Glass in Whitinsville. He was educated in the Sutton public school system, and loved sports, especially his New England teams. He never missed a game. He was a loving guy, with a great sense of humor, and loved his family. He will be remembered as a kind and thoughtful man and will be missed by everyone whose lives he touched. He was taken too young but will live in our hearts forever.
