Joan A. (Ryan) Esposito

Uxbridge- Joan A. (Ryan) Esposito, 92, of Hewett St., passed away on Monday, November 4, 2024.

       She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Ernest F. Esposito; a son, Joseph Esposito and his wife Beth of Mansfield; 5 grandchildren, Jen and her husband Reid of Denver, CO, Brian Esposito of High Point, NC, Kelly Esposito of Quincy, Erik Larsen of Atlanta, GA, and Rachel  Larsen of Atlanta, GA; a son-in-law, Carl Larsen of Marietta, GA; her cousin, Margaret Croteau of Uxbridge, her nephews and nieces, Burt Bogue and his wife Rhonda of AK, and Debbie and Joe Baltramaitis of Falmouth. She was predeceased by her daughter Susan Larsen in 2017.

       Born in Woonsocket, RI on December 31, 1931 she was the daughter of John J. and Rose (McManus) and grew up in Millville. She was educated from Millville public schools and was a graduate of St. Mary’s Catholic High School in Milford. She then furthered her education at Becker College in Worcester. After graduation, she worked in medical administration for Woonsocket Hospital. Once she and Ernie started their family, she stayed home to raise her children. She had been a resident of Uxbridge since 1962.

       A woman of great faith, she was an active parishioner of St. Mary’s Church. She volunteered a lot over years, helping with their fairs, potluck suppers, and was involved with their youth ministries. She loved to travel, and she and her husband were lucky to have seen a lot of different places, with her favorite place being Bermuda. She loved the beach. She was a very proud mother and grandmother and loved spending time with her family. Her grandkids were the light of her life, and over the years never missed their sporting events.
