JoAnn (Fitzgerald) Teachout

Grafton/ Northbridge-JoAnn (Fitzgerald) Teachout, 75, of Providence Rd. Grafton, passed away on Tuesday June 6, 2023 at Care One in Millbury after an illness.

     She is survived by her husband of 28 years David E. Teachout; their children Michael P. Lambert and his fiancé Amy McGuire of Whitinsville, Katie M. Morrow and her husband Mark of Framingham, Jodi L. Pineau and her husband Matt of Douglas, and Michael Teachout and his wife Ali of Holden; 10 grandchildren Noah Lambert, Alexandra Lambert, Tucker Lambert, Coco Lambert, Sam Morrow, Gabby Morrow, Matthew Pineau, Lily Pineau, Max Teachout, and Hunter Teachout; her sister Judy Walenty of Grafton; and many beloved nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, James M. Fitzgerald and Staff Sergeant Joseph E. Fitzgerald, MIA Vietnam.  

     Born in Northbridge, MA on July 10, 1947, JoAnn was daughter of the late James M. Sr. and Dorothy D. (Duggan) Fitzgerald. She was raised in Northbridge and lived in Grafton the past 10 years.

     Mrs. Teachout worked as a Project Coordinator for UltiPlay Parks and Playground Inc. in Uxbridge. Previously she worked with her husband at Teachout Land Surveying. There she did consulting, surveying, and environmental design. 

     JoAnn was educated at St. Peter’s School, Northbridge High School and Becker Junior College.

   She loved spending time at Scarborough Beach, Newport, RI. and on the always fun Teachout Family Cruise Trips.  Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her grandchildren; watching them grow and thrive with Dave by her side.
