Jean A. (Lavergne) Vallee

Northbridge- Jean A. (Lavergne) Vallee, 84, of Providence Rd. passed away on Monday June 24, 2024 at her daughter’s home surrounded by her loving family. Her husband of 66 years Donald F. Vallee died December 21, 2023.

     She is survived by 3 children Paul Vallee and his wife Pamela of Oxford, Sherrie Gianetti and her husband James of Uxbridge with whom she lived, and John Vallee of Northbridge; 3 grandchildren Maria (Gianetti) Kibarian and her husband Eric, Jason Vallee, and Jennifer Vallee; 2 step-grandchildren April Ballou and Mason Ovian ; a great-grandson Logan Panebianco; 2 sisters Janet M. O’Neill of Jamestown, RI, and Karen A. Forleo and her husband Duane of Lyndeborough, NH; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her grandson Michael J. Gianetti, a sister Muriel J. Barry, and brother-in-laws, Jack Barry, and Philip O’Neill.

     Born in Northbridge on October 19, 1939 she was the daughter of Arthur H. and Doris E. (Roy) Lavergne and lived in town all her life. A graduate of Northbridge High School, Class of 1957 she furthered her education at St. Vincent’s Nursing School in Worcester. Mrs. Vallee was employed as Director of Admissions at Milford Regional Hospital over 25 years, retiring in 2006. Previously she worked in the Admitting Dept. for Whitinsville Hospital.

     She enjoyed spending time in Jamestown, golfing, and loved flower gardening, She was a wonderful mom, and grandmother and most enjoyed spending time with her family.

     Calling hours at Jackman Funeral Home, 12 Spring St. Whitinsville will be held on Friday, June 28th from 4-7 PM. Her funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, June 29th at 11AM in St. Peter’s Church, 39 Church Ave., Northbridge. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Uxbridge.
