Webster- Janet E. (Chabot) Therrien, 81, passed away on Saturday, May 16, 2026 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was predeceased by her husband Edmund H. Therrien in 2008.
She is survived by 2 children Jeffrey A. Therrien and his wife Lisa of Uxbridge, and her daughter Jennifer A. Morales of Whitinsville with whom she lived; 3 grandchildren, Ryun Therrien and his wife Jaime of Webster, Robert Therrien and his fiancé Theresa Batista of Putnam, CT, and Jaeden Morales of Whitinsville; 3 great-grandchildren, Logan, Madelyn, and Cole; her sister, Doris Baczek and her husband John of N. Grosvenordale; her brother, Leonard Chabot and his wife Jessie of Myrtle Beach, SC; her former husband, Kenneth P. Therrien of Northbridge, as well as nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her longtime companion Richard Veau and was sister of late Paul Chabot.
Born in Webster on March 30, 1945, she was the daughter of Arthur “Chub” and Helen (Paholski) Chabot. She was educated at Sacred Heart School in Webster and was a graduate of Bartlett High School. She continued her education at St. Vincent’s Nursing School, where she earned her degree as a registered nurse. Throughout her distinguished nursing career, she served with dedication and compassion at numerous area hospitals and nursing facilities, including Milford Hospital, Whitinsville Hospital, St. Camillus Nursing Home, as well as Hubbard and Harrington Hospitals. She retired in 2015.
Janet was an avid reader who enjoyed good coffee, crossword and word puzzles, and watching game shows. A nurse at heart, she was deeply selfless and devoted to her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Known for her dry wit and sarcastic sense of humor, she had a remarkable ability to deliver memorable one-line remarks that brought laughter to those around her.
In accordance with her wishes, Janet will be cremated and her graveside funeral service will be held on Friday, May 29th at 11 AM in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Old Worcester Rd., Webster.
