Douglas – Janet A. (Lee) Ofcarcik, 77, passed away peacefully at her daughter's home on Thurs., June 24, 2021 with her family at her side after a short illness. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 57 years, Richard “Dick” Ofcarcik in 2020.
She is survived by her 4 children, Sharon Ofcarcik of Douglas, Karen Heredia and her husband Gustavo of Miami, FL, Susan Richard and her husband Brian of Uxbridge, and Richard Ofcarcik and his wife Kathryn of Chester, NH; 6 grandchildren, Mathew Ofcarcik and his significant other Ashley Mongeon, Devan Rock and her significant other Evan Langley, Jeffrey Richard and his wife Sarah, Katelyn Audet and her husband Joshua, Hunter Ofcarcik and Brennan Ofcarcik: 8 great-grandchildren, Benjamin, Logan, Zelda, Charlotte, Owen, Georgia, Jameson, and Eleanor; a sister, Judith Green of Douglas; brother-in-law, Francis "Jack" Ofcarcik and his wife Marcia, sister-in-law, Judith Ofcarcik, and many nieces and nephews.
Born in Northbridge on October 27, 1943 she was the daughter of Wallace and Eva (Laflamme) Lee and grew up in Whitinsville before moving to Douglas. She attended Northbridge Schools and furthered her education earning a degree in Computer Science from Quinsigamond Community College. She worked as an accounts payable clerk for various businesses in the area. She enjoyed spending time at the Sutton Senior Center playing cards with friends, being in her yard gardening, and traveling with her friend Jeannine. Her family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Overlook VNA & Hospice for their outstanding care and support.
