Uxbridge- Jane E. (Mack) Coles, 93, formerly of Centennial Court passed away peacefully on Friday. Jan. 31, 2025 at Advinia Care in Northbridge after an illness. She was predeceased by her husband of 68 years, Winfield E. “Win” Coles in 2019.
She is survived by her son Winfield P. “Pat” Coles and his wife Susan of Bellows Falls, VT; her daughter Kelly L. Shaughnessy and her husband Ronald Gray of Uxbridge; 5 grandchildren, Cole and his wife Melanie, Brooke and her husband Shawn, Tammy, Courtney, and Misty; 10 great-grandchildren; her brother-in-law, Harold “Mitch” Mitchell of CT, and many nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her daughter Karen Fennessey in 2007, and son-in-law, James “Mike” Fennessey III in 2006, her grandsons Jimmy and Patrick Fennessey, and 3 siblings, Floyd Mack Jr., Edward “Eddy” Mack, and Sally Mitchell.
Born in Bellows Falls, VT on March 13, 1931 Jane was the daughter of Floyd Sr. and Cora (Marlborough) Mack, and lived many years in Bellows Falls, before moving to Uxbridge in 2002. She was a graduate of Bellows Falls High School, where she played on their basketball team. Primarily a homemaker, Jane did work for Pratt & Whitney out of CT, and also for the A& P Grocery store in Bellows Falls.
Over the years, Jane and Win enjoyed traveling in their motorhome, which they did for about 20 years, seeing many beautiful places and usually spending their winters in Florida. She was an avid reader who also enjoyed playing cards, especially cribbage, ballroom dancing with Win, and playing bingo. She was a wonderful, wife, mother, and grandmother who loved her family above all. She will be remembered for her sweet and kind nature and her “world’s best” homemade donuts.
Her Memorial Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 14th at 11 AM in Cornerstone Church, 6 Hartford, Ave, East, Uxbridge, MA 01569 . Joint cremation burial with Win will be privately held in Athens Valley Cemetery in Athens, VT this summer. There are no calling hours.
