Iva M. Graveson

Uxbridge- Iva M. (Johnson) Graveson, 98, formerly of Upton St., passed away peacefully on Tues. Aug. 8, 2023 at the St. Francis Home in Worcester with loving family by her side.

       She is survived by 4 children, Patricia Pereda of Phoenix, AZ, Jacqueline Ross of Hudson, FL, EvaMarie Young of Myrtle Beach, SC and Thomas Edward Graveson of Northbridge many grandchildren, including a special granddaughter/caregiver Susan Rose Graveson, as well as many great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by 4 children, Susan Rose Graveson (infant), Jeanne Jones, James Graveson and William Graveson; 3 grandchildren Shamus Allen, Stacey Johnson, and Michael Ross, and her longtime companion Robert Larson in 2012.

Born in Manchester, NH on June 2, 1925 she was the daughter of Melva (Brock) MCateer and was raised on a farm in Franklin, New Hampshire. Iva raised her family in Uxbridge and worked many years for G.E. in Ashland and Foster Forbes Glass in Milford, retiring in 1990. After retirement she spent 25 years living in Rangley, ME before moving back to Massachusetts in 2012.

She liked gardening, bowling, and was a very talented crafter. She also enjoyed visiting Indian Ranch over the years for country concerts. She was an avid cat lover who enjoyed her cats over the years Peanut and Bright eyes.

Iva’s funeral service will be held from Tancrell-Jackman Funeral Home, 35 Snowling Rd., Uxbridge on Friday, August 18 at 6 PM. Calling hours will be held prior to the service from  4-6 PM.
