Douglas- Helen E. (Weber) Waite, 90, passed away on Friday, June 21, 2024, after a period of declining health.
She is survived by 3 daughters, Helen L. Wilson and her husband Alan of St. Johnsbury, VT, Luanne E. Witt and her husband Robert of Douglas with whom she lived, and Marilyn L. Waite of Wilton, ME; 5 grandchildren; 10 great- grandchildren; a sister Frances Haberlin of West Palm Beach, FL, 3 brothers, William Weber of Attleboro, Frederick Weber of Seekonk, and Carl Weber of North Attleboro. She was recently predeceased by her former husband of 69 years, Kenneth B. Waite; her granddaughter Suzie Wheeler; sister, Margaret Webb; and 2 brothers, George Weber, and James Weber.
Born in Mansfield, MA on July 29, 1933 she was the daughter of William A. and Margaret M. (Schromm) and grew up in Mansfield and graduated from Mansfield high school. Helen was an excellent homemaker who enjoyed cooking, Gardening, and travelling. She and her husband enjoyed traveling in their motorhomes. They took it all over and spent many years wintering in Florida. Helen documented all of their travelssince 1963. She was a hardworker and over the years helped Kenneth build all their homes. She was a very social woman who liked to meet new people and kept in touch with several friends she met during her travels throughout her life. She was kind and considerate of others and will be sorely missed by her adoring family.
