Northbridge- Helen D. (Laplante) Lemoine, 90, formerly of Gelinas Ave. passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 after an illness. Her husband of 47 years Edmond J. Lemoine passed on July 21, 2009.
She is survived by her son Marc Lemoine and his wife Christine of Shrewsbury; her daughter Karen Lemoine of Marlborough; 5 grandchildren, Amanda, John, Emily, Jason, and Megan and her husband James; her brother Paul Laplante of Boston; her daughter-in-law, Aileen (McCarthy) Lemoine; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son Eric J. Lemoine in 2022 and was sister of the late Claire Roy and Juliette Lundy. Born in Woonsocket, RI, she was the daughter of Henry and Fabiola (Phaneuf) Laplante and was raised and educated in Woonsocket. She had lived in Northbridge since 1962 and been a resident of The Branches in Marlborough the past year.
Mrs. Lemoine was employed for Coz Chemical and Coz Realty in Northbridge 30 years. She retired in 2002. A longtime member of St. Peter’s Church she served as a Eucharistic Minister there. She enjoyed crochet, visiting Disney yearly and camping when her children were young.
Her Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, September 16th at 11 AM in St. Peter’s Church, 39 Church Ave. Northbridge. Calling hours in Jackman Funeral Home, 12 Spring St., Whitinsville will be held prior to Mass from 9- 10:30 AM. Burial in St. Patrick’s Cemetery will be at a later date.
