Uxbridge- Harvey Bachand, 78, of Blackstone St.passed away on Thurs. June 3, 2021 at the Jewish Healthcare Center in Worcester peacefully after a period of declining health.
He is survived by 2 sisters, Catherine Heroux of Rhode Island, and MaryAnn Farrell of Washington, as well as many nephews and nieces, including Julie Isabelle, with whom he lived and helped care for Harvey during his illness. He was brother of the late Marguerite Boisvert, Elizabeth Miller, Edward Bachand, Paul Bachand, Albert Bachand, John Bachand and was recently predeceased in April by his brother Roger Bachand, whom he was especially close to. Born in Uxbridge on October 4, 1942 he was the son of George H. and Mary C. (Kuczek) Bachand, and has lived in Uxbridge all his life.
Harvey was educated in the Uxbridge school system and worked for the former Bernat Mills many years until their closing. He also worked in the maintenance department for the former Stevens Linen Works in Webster until his retirement. Harvey was a simple man who enjoyed fishing, a nice meal, and a relaxing day watching a good tv program. He was great man and will profoundly missed by his family.
His Funeral Service will be held on Weds. June 9 at 11am in Tancrell-Jackman Funeral Home, 35 Snowling Rd. Uxbridge. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Uxbridge. Calling hours at the funeral home will be held prior to the service from 10-11am.
