Greg Boutiette Obituary

Douglas- Gregory P. “Bouta” Boutiette, 57, of Whitcomb St. Webster passed away on Friday, February 21, 2025 from injuries sustained in a snowmobile accident in Maine.

     He is survived by his mother Beth A. Boutiette of Douglas; a brother Bruce E. Boutiette of Otis, MA; a sister Pamela J. Orphin and her husband Tommy of Douglas; a nephew Paul Boutiette and his wife Hannah of Quincy; two nieces Breanna and wife Emily Napolitano of Quincy and Isabella Gervais and her partner Brandon of N. Grosvenor Dale, CT; his great aunt Edna L’Esperance; five aunts Susan Blum, Verna Harding and her husband Vaughn, Veryll Fulone and her husband Dan, Colleen Prue and her husband Roger, and Karen Johnson; his uncle Everett “Sonny” Johnson and his wife Kathy; many cousins, and friends from Pennsylvania and Maine. He was predeceased by his faithful dog Libby.

     Born in Worcester on September 28, 1967, he was son of the late Paul N. Boutiette and lived in Webster the past two years. Previously, he was a lifelong Douglas resident. 

     A hard worker, Greg was employed as a truck driver for Superior Waste and Recycling in Worcester. Previously he worked for Als Trash, Printer Pro Solutions, A &B Landscaping, Tebo Landscaping, Verizon, Guaranteed Builders Inc., and the Town of Douglas Highway Department. He also did freelance concrete work over the years. He was a graduate of Douglas Memorial High School, Class of 1985.

     Bouta loved spending time at Lake Mattaseunk in Mattawamkeag, ME. His happy place was Camp Kellzraff where he enjoyed snowmobiling, four wheeling, fishing, hunting, and visiting with his many friends there. He was outgoing, funny, unfiltered, and made friends wherever he went. For many years, he ran a Fishing Derby at the Res in Douglas as a fundraiser for homeless veterans. Above all he was loyal, loving, and committed to his large extended family. Greg was one of a kind and will be missed by everyone whose lives he touched.

    Calling hours at Jackman Funeral Home, 7 Mechanic St., will be held Friday March 7 from 3-7 p.m. His Funeral Mass will be held Saturday March 8, 2025 at 11 a.m. at St Denis Church, 23 Manchaug St. Memorial donations may be made to Veterans Inc. 69 Grove St., Worcester, MA 01605.
