Gerard Vasseur Obituary
Gerard R. Vasseur, 84, of Worcester, passed away on Monday, December 8, 2025, after a brief illness.
He is survived by his sister, Anita M. Kamendulis of Whitinsville; as well as five nieces, Gina Tembenis and her husband Harry of Worcester, Jodi Sousa and her husband Frank of Auburn, Lori Susienka and her husband John of Douglas, Heather Nejaimey and her companion Tim Powers of Worcester and Melisa Gates and her husband Joel of Mason, NH; two great-nieces, three great-nephews, and many good friends. He was predeceased by his sister Judy Nejaimey and his great nephew Elias Tembenis.
Born in Worcester on August 27, 1941, he was the son of Raymond and Jane (Trudeau) Vasseur. He remained rooted in the community throughout his life. Gerry held many different jobs over the years, but his favorite was working on cars. He took great pleasure in his work, regularly buying them, fixing them up, and passing them along.
Gerry enjoyed spending time with family, especially during the holidays. He greatly valued time with his friends, going out for breakfast and lunch at their favorite spots, The Boulevard Diner and Pickle Barrel Deli.
Gerry will be remembered for his generosity, his quiet strength, and the warm happiness that made him who he was. His family and friends take comfort in knowing that he is now at peace.
