Uxbridge – Francis J. Lavallee, 70, passed away on Mon. June 7, 2021 at Beaumont Nursing Home in Northbridge after a period of declining health.
He is survived by 2 children, Tammy Jean Lavallee of Easley, SC, and Benjamin Lavallee of Rogers, AR; his mother, Lorraine (Ross) Lavallee of Uxbridge; 3 siblings, John Lavallee and his wife Linda of Lawrenceville, GA, Diane Deorsey of Whitinsville, and Lisa Lavallee and her significant other Brian Riley of Uxbridge; 2 grandchildren, Natalie Lavallee and Breeana Bryan. He was also survived by many nieces and nephews and was a great-grandfather to be. He was predeceased by his son Joseph Lavallee, and his brother Robert Lavallee.
Born in Whitinsville on February 26, 1951 Francis was son of the late Alexander J. Lavallee and grew up in Uxbridge. He was a graduate of Uxbridge High School Class of 1970, and furthered his education attending the Providence School of Electronics. Francis worked for Tredegar in South Grafton for many years before moving to Florida. He lived in Largo, FL for 18 years, working for Largo Medical Center stocking medical equipment and retired in 2014, where he then moved back to Uxbridge.
Francis enjoyed listening to music, mostly country, and was an avid Shania Twain and Johnny Cash fan. He was a very creative man and liked building things. Francis loved to write both stories and music, and enjoyed fishing. He was a kind soul and was loved by all who knew him. He lived for his children, and most of all his granddaughters, Natalie and Breeana.
His funeral will be held in Tancrell-Jackman Funeral Home, 35 Snowling Rd., Uxbridge on Sat., June 12 with a service beginning at 10AM. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Uxbridge. Calling hours will be held on Fri. June 11th from 5-8 PM and an additional hour will be held on Sat. prior to the service at 9AM.
