Uxbridge- Eric W. Bergeron, 70, passed away after a period of declining health on Saturday, December 13, 2025 at UMass University Hospital in Worcester, surrounded by his loving family.
He is survived by his companion of 40 years, Deborah Duggan of Whitinsville; his son Seth Bergeron of Okinawa, Japan; a daughter, Jessica Watson of Douglas; his sister Elaine Andrews of Mendon, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was brother of the late Edward J. “Hawk” Bergeron, and James S. “Berjee” Bergeron, and was also predeceased by his nephew Bryce Bergeron.
Born in Northbridge on October 4, 1955, he was the son of Edward S. and Beatrice (Oberg) Bergeron and was raised in Uxbridge. He was educated in the Uxbridge school system, attending the former Good Shepherd School, and was a graduate of Uxbridge High School, Class of 1974. Mr. Bergeron was a resident of Whitinsville for the past 25 years.
He proudly served his country in the United States Army as an Airborne Ranger, stationed in Alaska, and also served for several years with the Army National Guard out of Whitinsville.
An avid outdoorsman, Eric enjoyed spending time in nature, riding his bicycle, hunting, and gardening. He was a lifelong learner who greatly enjoyed reading. Skilled with his hands, he also took pleasure in tinkering with candle and soap making.
