Elizabeth “Lizzie/Liz” Harding Weinstein passed away at the age of 53, leaving behind a legacy of compassion, strength, and unwavering love for her children. She was known for her persistence and enduring commitment to those she loved and served.
Born in Milford, Massachusetts, Lizzie was the beloved daughter of Verna (Johnson) and Vaughn Harding. She spent her early years in Northbridge, MA, before moving to Hyannis during high school. She graduated from Barnstable High School, Class of 1990, and went on to earn her Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Boston University.
Lizzie later moved to New York City, where she pursued her calling in nursing, earning her RN from Columbia University. A true caregiver at heart, she served bravely and selflessly during the 9/11 attacks, providing care and comfort in one of the city’s darkest hours. She later settled in Westchester, where she built a loving home and raised her family with her former husband Brian in Briarcliff Manor, NY.
Above all, Lizzie was a devoted mother to her three cherished children: Max Stryker Harding Weinstein, Ella Stryker Harding Weinstein, and Jack Stryker Harding Weinstein. She is also survived by her loving parents, Verna (Johnson) and Vaughn Harding of Hyannis; her siblings, Brenda and her husband Rob Misuraca of Raleigh, NC and Paul R. Harding of Fountain Valley, CA; three nieces Alexandra, Emily, and Addison; two nephews Robert and Jake; and a large extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins who will forever hold her in their hearts.
Lizzie’s passion, courage, and resolute spirit touched the lives of many. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
