Whitinsville- Elizabeth A. “Betty” (Young) Feen, 89, of Sullivan Dr. passed away peacefully on Mon. Feb. 21, 2022 with her loving family by her side. She was predeceased by her husband of 47 years, Michael J. Feen Jr. in 2002.
She is survived by her 3 loving daughters, Maureen E. Briand and her husband John of Whitinsville; Kathleen P. Feen and her partner Vaugn Taylor of Allenhurst, NJ and Colleen A. Sansoucy and her husband Steve of Linwood; 2 grandchildren, Dan Briand of Shrewsbury, and Lauren Briand and her partner Steve Sarchione of Las Vegas, NV; a great- granddaughter, Sienna Tallulah Sarchione of Las Vegas, NV; many nieces, nephews, and in-laws, Andra Young, Dr. Dennis and Anne Feen, Richard and Kathy Feen, Diane and Jim Sears and Terence and Joyce Feen. She was also predeceased by siblings, Dorothy Kosciak, Raymond Young, John “Jack” Young, Paul Young and Peter Young.
Born in Whitinsville on July 27, 1932, Betty was the daughter of Peter and Margaret (Melia) Young. She attended Northbridge Public Schools and graduated from St. Mary’s High School in Milford. She was “the face of Friendly’s” in Whitinsville where she waitressed for 40 years. She loved traveling with family and had been to Ireland 6 times. Her biggest joy was spending time with her family and friends, and opening her home to those she loved. She always enjoyed dining out, shopping, and attending her grandchildren’s sporting events. She and her girlfriends, bowled on the K of C Keglerette bowling league for many years. Betty was a beautiful, kind and fun-loving soul and will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She was a life-long parishioner of St Patrick’s Church and participated in their Spin Action ministry.
Her family would like to extend a special thank you to Darlene, Marie, Chris, Jane and the JHC staff for their love and wonderful care shown to Betty.
Her funeral will be held on Sat. Feb. 26, 2022 at 11 AM in St. Patrick’s Church, 1 Cross St., Whitinsville. Calling hours will be on Fri.
