Elaine M (Harper) Miller

Whitinsville- Elaine M. (Harper) Miller, 90, formerly of Whitinsville passed away peacefully Saturday April 6, 2024 at Atria Draper Place in Hopedale.

     She is survived by her brother Bradford and his wife Lucille Harper of Whitinsville; in-laws Nancy (Morin) Harper and Nancy (Johnson)Harper; and many nieces and nephews. She was sister of the late Beverly Weinmann, Peter B. Harper, Carl E. Harper, and Owen C. Harper. Born in Milford MA on April 25, 1933, Elaine was the daughter of Theodore and Jenny (Wesgan) Harper, and was raised in Linwood. She had lived the past year in Hopedale. 

Elaine was a graduate of Northbridge High School Class of 1952. She graduated from Lasell College Class of 1954. Elaine worked as a clothes buyer for Filene's, Bloomingdale's and was associated with Julliana for many years while in Dallas before moving to Whitinsville in 2012

Elaine was a world traveler visiting places such as Kenya, Russia, Spain, Germany, Caribbean, Thailand, Belgium and China. She enjoyed shopping and was always impeccably dressed. She was an avid skier and tennis player. She also loved her many cats over the years. Elaine fostered many kittens while she lived in Dallas, always finding the perfect home for her fostered fur-babies.

She enjoyed shopping, especially for clothes. She was knowledgeable about the current fashions. 

     Her funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 11 at noon in Jackman Funeral Home, 12 Spring St. Whitinsville. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Uxbridge. A calling hour in the funeral home will be held prior to her service from 11 am to noon.
