Eileen Labonte Obituary
Uxbridge- Eileen E. (Poudrier) Labonte, 75, of Albee Rd., formerly of Maple St., passed away Tues. May 11, 2021 peacefully at home with her family by her side.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years Gerald P. Labonte Sr; 4 children Janice M. Ouellette and her husband Jim, Mary Jane Johnston and her husband Jeff, Gerald P. Labonte Jr. and his wife Jennifer, all of Uxbridge,and Elizabeth J. and her husband Patrick Orr of Uxbridge with whom she lived; 11 grandchildren Madison, Morgan and Mia Ouellette, Matt, Sarah and Tessa Johnston, Zachary Ryan and Jessica Labonte, and Grace and Natalie Orr; 2 brothers Roger A. “Buster” Poudrier and his wife Sharron of Linwood, and Edward A. Poudrier and his wife Carol of Florida, a cousin Marie Campo; nephews, nieces, and many special friends including Patty and Rich Johnston. She will also be missed by her faithful dog Toby, who brought Eileen the newspaper each morning. Born in Whitinsville, MA on June 30, 1945 she was the daughter of Albert H. and Marjorie A. (McNabb) Poudrier and lived in Linwood and Uxbridge all her life.
Mrs. Labonte worked at Labonte’s Market, Gerry’s Oil Co. and Peterson Oil Co. many years, retiring in 2011. She was a graduate of Uxbridge High School, Class of 1963 and regularly attended their Annual Reunions. She enjoyed many summers at the Cape with her “C” St. friends, camping in Maine, and trips to Florida with her husband and family. Meme was an Uxbridge “Super fan” who never missed her grandchildren’s sports games. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family. She was known for her great cooking and always having a good time.
Her Funeral will be held Sat. May 15 from Tancrell-Jackman Funeral Home, 35 Snowling Rd. with a Mass at 12:30 pm in Good Shepherd Church, 121 Linwood St. Linwood. Calling hours at the funeral home are Sat. May 15 from 10 am to noon. Memorial donations may be made to the Uxbridge Spartans Athletic Booster Club, 300 Quaker Highway, Uxbridge, MA 01569.
