Dudley- Edward R. “Tgor” Levasseur, 77, passed away unexpectedly on Thurs., Dec. 22, 2022 at UMass University Medical Center after being stricken ill.
He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Linda L. (Genduso) Levasseur; his 2 children, Erik E. Levasseur and his wife Maggie of Dudley and Aili J. Levasseur of Dudley; his 2 cherished grandchildren, Emma and Lukus Levasseur; cousins whom he loved like brothers, Dick and his wife Bonnie Lepage of Uxbridge, Kenny and Heidi Lepage of Uxbridge, and John Lepage and his wife Sina of Middleboro; his father-in-law, Joseph Genduso of Auburn, and many great friends. Born in Uxbridge, MA on Feb. 8, 1945 he was the son of Albert and Cora L. (Lepage) Levasseur and grew up in Uxbridge.
Ed worked as a carpenter for the Carpenter’s Union Local 107 in Worcester. He retired in 2007 after many years of hard work. He served in the US National Guard out of the Whitinsville barracks. A jack of all trades, he was very handy and could fix anything. He had a passion for old cars especially his ’99 Mustang. Always active, he enjoyed walking, hunting, and all types of fishing. He enjoyed the shooting range and was a member of the Uxbridge Rod and Gun Club in his younger years. He was a longtime surfer, having lived in Hawaii several years. He also enjoyed family trips to Onset Island.
His memorial calling hours will be held Fri. Dec. 30 from 5 to 7 pm in Tancrell-Jackman Funeral Home, 35 Snowling Rd. Uxbridge. His family asks that attendees please dress comfortably/ casually for the service, as Ed would have wanted swim trunks, flip flops and a t-shirt if it wasn't winter.
