Born and raised in Waltham, Doug was son of the late Walter J. and Emilia L. (Dellepigne) Warren and lived in Millville 30 years. Previously he lived in Wrentham.
Mr. Warren was employed as a machinist and quality control specialist for the former MPM Co. in Franklin for 32 years. He then worked in Woonsocket at Cycle Performance Motorcycle Shop. There, he turned wrenches, and designed, and created aftermarket specialty motorcycle parts. He was very good at his job. Doug was very smart and could fix anything. He was a graduate of Waltham High School’s Vocational Dept., Class of 1981.
Doug was an avid motorcyclist, riding his Harley Ultra Classic with his wife Ginny often alongside him. They took many long trips to such places as Ohio, Laconia, Sturgis, and the White Mountains. A member of the Harley Owner’s Group, many of the rides were for charity. He loved camping with his toy hauler, working in his yard with his tractor and enjoyed shooting as a member of the Ames Rifle and Pistol Club. He was a member of the NRA.
Doug was good-natured, a prankster, and could always make you laugh. Kind-hearted, he was always willing to lend a hand, and took pride in his appearance. Despite his illnesses, he never stopped fighting or lost his sense of humor or positive attitude. He will be deeply missed by those who loved him.
