Uxbridge- Donald R. Grenier, 72, of Dayville CT., formerly a longtime N. Uxbridge resident, passed away on Monday, October 27, 2025.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Deborah A. (Marques) Grenier; 2 daughters, Kristy L. Grenier of Plainfield, CT, and Kerrie A. Grenier of Putnam, CT; 2 grandchildren, Bryce Grenier of Plainfield, CT and Merric Dragon of Putnam, CT, and many nephews and nieces. He was the brother of the late Raymond E. Grenier Jr., Lawrence Grenier, Martha Bouvette, Deborah Majeau, Jacqueline Pare, and his twin sister Dorothy Beauregard.
Born in Milford, MA on June 12, 1953 he was son of the late Raymond E. Sr. and Emma (Orange) Grenier and was raised and lived in North Uxbridge for many years. He was a graduate of Uxbridge High School. Mr. Grenier worked as a Training Supervisor at the Foxwoods Casino for several years, retiring due to illness. Previously he was a Purchasing Assistant for Dennison Manufacturing, and was a cook for Knowlton Manor Nursing Home in Upton.
He enjoyed trips to the casino, playing the lottery and bingo, listening to 50's music, and most of all, spending time with his grandchildren. He served in the Massachusetts Army National Guard out of Whitinsville for several years. He was a former parishioner of St. Mary’s Church in Uxbridge and attended St. James Church in Dayville, CT. He will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him.
His funeral will be held on Saturday, November 1st at 11 AM in Tancrell-Jackman Funeral Home, 35 Snowling Rd., Uxbridge. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Uxbridge.
