Whitinsville- Diane M. (Stahl) Brothers, 66, of High St. passed away on Sunday July 7, 2024 at Milford Hospital after a long illness.
She is survived by her husband of 38 years Donald L. Brothers; 4 step-children Bonnie Ryan of Douglas, Brenda Brothers of Northbridge, Tina Berkowitz of Oxford, and Donald Brothers of New Bedford; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; 3 sisters Edna Dresser and her husband Jerry of Manchaug, Janet Towle and her husband Everett of Alamogordo, NM, and Jean Stahl-Mateychuk and her husband David of Southbridge; 6 brothers Ronald Ledoux and his wife Claudette of Sturbridge, Samuel Stahl and his wife Dianne of Littleton, CO, Charles Stahl and his wife Nancy of Hopkinton, David Stahl and his wife Michelle of Katy, TX, Bruce Stahl and his wife Anne of Fuquay Varina, NC, and Jon Stahl and his wife Sandy of Fairbanks, AK; and many nieces and nephews. She was sister of the late Denise Rivers, Anne Stahl, Sonya Gerrin, and Christen Stahl.
Born in Worcester, MA on April 16, 1958, Diane was the daughter of Jacob J. and Bernadette A. (Salois) Stahl and was raised in the Manchaug section of Sutton. She was a graduate of Sutton High School, Class of 1976 and worked many years at Market 32 in the Deli Department. Previously she was employed at Polyvinyl Films in Millbury. She also bartended at the Sokol Hall in Douglas and the former American Legion in Manchaug.
Diane enjoyed playing the online game Spades and talking to her friends through the game. She loved animals, especially her cat “Mischief”, feeding and watching the birds, visiting the beach, and collecting turtle figurines. In her younger years she liked playing pool and visiting her friends in the White Mountains.
Her funeral service will be held Monday July 15 at 4 pm in Jackman Funeral Home, 12 Spring St Whitinsville. Calling hours will be held prior to her service from 2 to 4 pm. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741.
