Born in Sioux Falls, S. Dakota on February 20, 1931, Delores was the daughter of Edward and Bertha (Dozler) Lausen and was raised in Minnesota and S. Dakota. She had lived on Lake Terrace in Whitinsville 20 years.

Mrs. Farmer was a small business owner, working with her husband Gordon at Farmer’s Ice Cream Parlor in Milford and Whitinsville. There she baked delicious pies and treats. She later was employed at the former St. Camillus Nursing Home as a cook. She was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving in Germany as a Sergeant. Family was the most important thing in life to Delores.  She showed her love through amazing meals; hours of babysitting; and always an open ear to everyone.  She loved playing board games, puzzles, and card games. She was also skilled in crochet, creating beautiful works of art. She was an active member of St. Patrick’s Church and served on their Bereavement Ministry.

Delores would not want anyone to fuss over her, but we are going to fuss over her and celebrate her life and impact she had on all of our lives.  Her funeral Mass will be held Saturday December 13, 2025 at 10 am in St. Patrick’s Church, 1 Cross St., Whitinsville.
