Uxbridge- David F. “Fergie” Storey, 61, of Heritage Dr. Whitinsville passed away with grace and dignity on Tues. Aug 30, 2022 after a long illness.
He is survived by his wife Angelica “Angie” (Alicea) Storey; his mother Faye M. (Cassista) Storey of Uxbridge; 3 brothers James R. “Chico” Storey of N. Uxbridge, John P. “Jake” Storey and his wife Cheryl of Linwood, and Paul M. Storey and his wife Sherry of Whitinsville; his sister Pamela A. Knowlton and her husband David of Pascoag, RI; several nieces, nephews and good friends. Born in Nyack, NY on March 10, 1961 he was son of the late James F. Storey and lived at Heritage Park 22 years. Previously he lived in Uxbridge, growing up in the Hecla area near the ballfield where he made lifelong friends.
Fergie held several positions, ending up as a customer support manager at EMC in Hopkinton for 25 years, retiring in 2017 due to illness. Previously he worked at Raytheon Corp. in Waltham. He was a 1979 graduate of Uxbridge High School and went on to study Liberal Arts at UMass Amherst. A standout baseball center fielder, he played from little league through college, serving as team captain many times. An avid golfer he was a member of Whitinsville golf club 20 years. Fergie also cherished “boy’s weekends, annual trips with his high school buddies, seasonal camping on Cape Cod and trips to Vegas. He was a fan of all Boston sports teams, enjoyed driving his convertible, and loved sharks and tracking them with his tracker app.
His funeral service will be held Saturday, Sept. 3 at 11 am in Tancrell Jackman Funeral Home, 35 Snowling Rd., Uxbridge. Calling hours will be Friday, Sept. 2nd from 4 - 7 PM and Saturday prior to the service from 10 -11 AM.
