Douglas- David W. Plamondon, 47, of Perry St., passed away unexpectedly on February 22, 2025 at his home. He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Sarah (Buttery) Plamondon.
He also leaves his adored children, Emma M. Plamondon, and Jacob D. Plamondon; a sister, Laurie; his aunts, Diane St. Laurent and her husband Armand, Collette Thorne, Claire and Tim Kirkpatrick, Jane Plamondon and her husband Robert Neidorff, and Ann Plamondon; his parent-in-laws, David and Linda Buttery; his brother-in-law, Paul Buttery, as well as many cousins, and great friends.
Born in Fall River on August 11, 1977 he was the son of the late Marguerite (Cloutier) Plamondon and grew up in Westport. He was a graduate of the Bishop Stang High School class of 1995, and furthered his education earning a Bachelor of Science degree in History. David worked for the Commonwealth of MA for 15 years, most recently as a network manager, and previously as a data center manager. He had also worked for UCONN for 4 years prior.
David loved tools and was very handy, he could build anything. His hobbies included cars and motorcycles, and he was a Ham radio enthusiast, communicating with others around the globe. He loved skiing, trips to New Hampshire, fishing, and golfing where he played in the Blissful Meadows league. He was a member of the Mumford River Masonic Lodge, the Whitinsville Fish and Game Club, and served in the U.S Army National Guard for 8 years. He enjoyed trap shooting with his son, and shared a love of thrift stores and music with his daughter, often shopping for bargains or traveling to concerts she enjoyed. He loved working outside with his wife, growing vegetables and coming up with ridiculous plans for the backyard that his wife could shoot down. Above all, David was a family man who adored his children.
David’s calling hours will be held from Jackman Funeral Home, 7 Mechanic St., Douglas on Monday, March 3rd from 4-6 PM. His funeral home service will be held on Tuesday, March 4th at 11 AM. His burial will follow in Douglas Center Cemetery, Douglas. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Royal Family Kids Camp of New England.
