David E. Benson

Douglas- David E. Benson, 54, of A Street, passed away unexpectedly on Friday January 2, 2026 after being stricken ill. 

     He is survived by his son Nicholas Jacques of Worcester; his daughter Hannah Lee Benson of Uxbridge; his mother Cynthia (Fortier) Magowan and her husband Fran of Douglas; his father David P. Benson of Millbury; a granddaughter Azaleah Ella-Rose Jacques; a brother Christopher Benson of Kentucky; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was brother of the late Amanda Eslick. Born in Worcester on January 14, 1971, he was raised in the Manchaug section of Sutton. He was educated in the Sutton school system and at Valley Tech High School.

     David worked as a truck driver for Carquest Auto Parts and Western Express. He had also been employed at Whittier Farms in Sutton as a farm hand. He enjoyed bowhunting, fresh and saltwater fishing, and passing along his knowledge to the younger generation, his friends, and additional family. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion and the Singletary Rod and Gun Club.

     David was taken too young but will live in our hearts forever.
