Daniel L. St. Francis Sr.

Whitinsville- Daniel L. St. Francis Sr., 70, passed away on Tues. Oct. 26, 2021 at the Blaire House of Worcester where he had been a resident the past  year. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Janice M. (Duvernay) St. Francis.

       He is also survived by 2 sons, Sean M. St. Francis and his fiancee Melissa Dupont of West Warren, and Nicholas R. St. Francis and his wife Kelly of Whitinsville; 5 grandchildren, Teylor, Madeline, Emma, Lily, and Sammi; 4 siblings, Robert St. Francis and his wife of Worcester, David St. Francis and his wife Linda of Webster, Denise Ackerman and her husband Kevin of Florida, and Sandra Shonbeck and her husband of the Carolinas, as well as many nieces, and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Daniel St. Francis Jr. in 2019, and 3 siblings, John St. Francis, Ronnie St. Francis and Susan Butler. 

       Born in Worcester on March 13, 1951 he was the son of Lawrence and Helen (Bailey) St. Francis and grew up in Worcester. He was employed 20 years with Stop & Shop, working in their warehouses and advanced his way up ultimately becoming a Maintenance Manager. He was very hardworking and took pride in his job, he retired in 2011. Daniel was also a mechanic and enjoyed tinkering, fishing, and spending time with his family. Another interest of his was storm watching, a passion he shared with his sons.

       His graveside funeral service will be held on Mon. Nov. 1 at 11 am in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Whitinsville. There are no calling hours.
