Uxbridge- Catherine “Annie” Negri, 88, of the Linwood House passed away on Thursday, July 4, 2024 after a period of declining health.
She is survived by her house mates at Linwood House, where she has lived the past 40 years, staff at Open Sky "formerly Alternatives" which were very much her extended family. She was predeceased by her brother James Negri.
Born in Providence, RI on the 28th of March, 1936 she was the daughter of Charles and Mary (Cadoret) Negri and grew up in Rhode Island.
Annie will be remembered for her infectious smile and unforgettable personality. She had a great sense of humor and a kind heart. Anne loved a wide range of music from Elvis to Bob Marley. She would never miss exercising with Rosie and nightly game shows. She was always well dressed and loved shopping trips for jewelry, sunglasses and hand bags. She attended Open Sky’s Adult Learning Center Day Program for many years as well as The Good Shepard Church where she was a member.
Anne was a woman of strong faith who believed she would one day be with the Heavenly Father, where she now resides.
Special thanks to friends and staff at Open Sky for providing Annie with a beautiful life, full of love and laughter.
Her funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, July 18th at 11am in St Mary’s Church, 77 Mendon St, Uxbridge. Her burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery in Cumberland, RI, where she will be laid to rest with her parents and brother.
