Manchaug- Bruce R. Anderson ,65 formerly of Manchaug section of Sutton passed away Fri. July 2, 2021 at UMass Memorial, University Campus after a long illness.
He is survived by his sister Susan M. Conley and her husband Shawn of Manchaug; nieces Angela and Ashley, Great nieces Rebecca and Nova Great nephews Phoenix,Christopher and Xhaiden all of Myrtle Beach, SC; cousins,aunts,uncles, and friends. His Brother Michael R. Anderson died Oct 24,2004.
Born in Worcester, ma on Dec. 18, 1955,he was the son of the late Richard H and Shirley B.( Briggs) Anderson and lived in Manchaug most of his life.He had lived in Uxbridge the past 8 years.
Bruce worked as a Machine Operator for Polyvinyl Films Co. In Sutton. Previously he worked at the Manchaug Legion Post 390 and in his younger years as a Machinist at Wyman Gordon .He was educated at Good Shepard school in Linwood and graduated from Blackstone Valley Tech ,Class of '74.
A buick enthusiast, he loved owning his 1987 Black Grand National .
Good natured and outgoing, Bruce was a great cook ,a good storyteller who loved a practical joke. He was proud of his nieces and close to his Buddies Fred & Mike and his extended kin, which included The Anderson,King, Briggs ,
Barrett,and Miller families.
Bruce often joked about the Joe Diffie song, Prop Me Up Beside the Jukebox( If I Die) Next time you play a Jukebox song, think fondly of Bruce.
A celebration of Bruce's life and a time to share your special memory will be held on Saturday July 17, 2021 at Tony's Pizza Rt 146 Sutton from 12 -2 pm
