Blanche Pelletier Obituary

Uxbridge- Blanche F. (Ethier) Pelletier, 98, passed away peacefully on Feb. 12, 2018 at her residence after a period of declining health.  Born in Millville, MA on March 8, 1919 she was the first of 14 children born to Alphonse and Flora (Cabana) Ethier. Married to Rene Pelletier in 1940 she lived most of her life in Millville before relocating to Crown and Eagle Apartments in Uxbridge where the other residents became an extension of her family.
     She is survived by a son Francis of Grafton, his husband David Crowley, 2 step-grandchildren and 5 step-great-grandchildren; 2 sisters Yvonne Coyle of Sayreville, NJ and Ellen Bowen and her husband Robert of Millville; many nieces and nephews and their extended families. She was predeceased by her husband in 1996 as well as her brothers Leo, Alphonse, Rene, William, Oliver, Omer, and Leonard as well as her sisters Regina LaLiberte, Bella Wayland, Viola Balon, and Sylvia Figuerido/ McCausland. Among her family is also Rev. Bishop Donald Pelletier of Madagascar, Africa and Irene Pelletier of E. Hartford CT.
     Her interests were sewing, knitting, crocheting, quilting, playing cards and gardening. She was a parishioner at St. Augustine’s Catholic Church in Millville having served as President of St. Monica’s Guild and St. Mary’s Parish in Uxbridge.
     He family wishes to express thanks and appreciation to the Griswold Agency and Salmon VNA and Hospice and their staff for their services in caring for her so she was able to remain home during her declining health. Their professionalism and support were immeasurable.
     Her funeral Mass will be held Sat. Feb. 17 at 10 am in St. Mary’s Church, 71 Mendon St. Uxbridge. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Please convene directly at the church. The family kindly requests that flowers be omitted. Contributions to St. Mary’s Church, 71 Mendon St. Uxbridge 01569 or any charity would be greatly appreciated.
