Uxbridge- William G. “Bill” Hewett, 52, of E. Hartford Ave. died Wednesday December 10, 2025 from injuries sustained after being struck by a vehicle.
Born in Worcester on March 6, 1973 he lived in Uxbridge all his life. He is survived by his two children Nicole and Nathan Hewett and their mother Rachele Devlin of Uxbridge; his parents Dennis L. and Janet M. (Parsons) Hewett of Uxbridge; two half-brothers Chris Garon and his wife Robin of Woonsocket, RI and Mark Garon of Morrisville, VT; his companion of seven years Jessie Schotanus of Uxbridge with whom he lived; God Daughter Ashley Kearnan of Uxbridge; aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces and many friends.
Bill owned and operated Hewett’s General Construction for many years. Previously, he was employed with the Blackburn’s, installing roofing and siding. He was a 1991 graduate of Uxbridge High School, where he played football as the star quarterback. Billy was always ready for a get-together and always brought the laughs. He loved spending time with his kids and family playing, and usually winning, a game of pitch. He also enjoyed playing pool, cribbage, and golf. He was an amazing father, son, and friend to all. Bill was a kind, selfless, compassionate, humble person who was always smiling. He would be there for anyone who needed help - even if it meant venturing beyond his natural habitat of Uxbridge. To know him was to love him unconditionally.
