Beverly J. (Edwards) Chiras

Whitinsville/Londonderry, NH- Beverly J. (Edwards) Chiras, 78, formerly of Whitinsville passed away peacefully at home on Wed. June 18, 2025 after a brief illness.

     She is survived by her husband of 57 years Robert P. Chiras; her 2 children Dawn White of Londonderry, NH and Scott Chiras and his wife Lisa of Bedford, NH; 3 grandchildren Alex Butterworth, Shannon Chiras, and Justin Chiras; 3 brothers Michael A. Edwards and his wife Peg and Joseph A. Edwards, all of Whitinsville, and James A. Edwards in Florida; and several nieces and nephews. Born in Whitinsville, MA on Dec. 20, 1946, Beverly was the daughter of James A. and Jean M. (McCrea) Edwards. She was raised in Whitinsville and lived in Londonderry 40 years. 

     Mrs. Chiras worked as a supervisor for New England Telephone and was a Librarian in Hudson, NH. She was a graduate of Northbridge High School, Class of 1964. She enjoyed playing the game of Mahjongg, bingo, and keeping fit at the Curves Gym. She was a former Brownie Troop Leader in Whitinsville and loved camping in the N. Conway area and attending family functions. 

     Her Funeral Service will be held on Thurs. June 26, 2025 at 11 am in Jackman Funeral Home, 12 Spring St., Whitinsville. Calling hours at the Funeral Home will be held prior to the service from 10-11 AM. Burial will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery.
