Uxbridge- Beatrice M. (Bilodeau) Bielat, 100, formerly of Myers St., passed away peacefully on April 18, 2023 at Advinia Care in Northbridge where she has been a resident the past 4 years. She was predeceased by her husband Walter “Eddie” Bielat in 1990, after 43 years of marriage.
She is survived by her daughter Cindy Jezerski and her husband Michael formerly of Douglas, now living in Reddick, Fl, and several nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by an infant daughter, Cynthia A. Bielat, and 4 siblings, Joseph Bilodeau, Cecilia Oles, Florence Bilodeau, and Alice Palardis. Born in Uxbridge on September 10, 1922 she was the daughter of Louis and Pamelia (Bernache) Bilodeau and lived in Uxbridge all her life. Bea worked for the Bernat Mills, Stanley Woolen Mills, Blackstone Cotton Mills, and Porters Shoe in Milford.
Bea was an amazing woman who enjoyed volunteering and offered her help for many years at both St. Camillus and Lydia Taft Nursing Homes, and also for the Uxbridge food pantry. She was the former President of the Uxbridge Senior Center for 3 years, where she loved to engage with people and enjoyed activities especially bingo. A woman of great faith, she was a longtime parishioner and former member of the Board of Directors for the Polish National Church of Woonsocket.
Her calling hours will be held from Tancrell-Jackman Funeral Home, 35 Snowling Rd., Uxbridge on Tuesday, April 25th from 9- 10:30 AM. Immediately following, her graveside service will take place in the Polish National Cemetery, Farm St., Blackstone, where she will be laid to rest alongside her husband.
