Douglas – Arlene J. (Lapierre) Letourneau, 70 passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on Mon. Feb. 13, 2017 after a courageous battle with cancer.
She is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, John R. Letourneau; her 3 children John K. Letourneau of Douglas, Bonnie J. O’Day of Sutton, and Robert W. Letourneau of Weymouth; 10 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; her brother David Lapierre of Spencer and her 4 legged friend, Molly. She was predeceased by her daughter Joyce Hall and her sister Diane Huckins. Born in
Spencer, MA on Jan. 7, 1947 she was the daughter of the late Robert O. and Patricia J. (Small) Lapierre and was a graduate of Spencer High School, Class of 1965.
Arlene worked as a bus driver for the Douglas Schools for over 17 years and as a Manger for Walmart in Whitinsville. She will be remembered as a kind woman who had a knack for creativity. She enjoyed adult coloring books, floral arranging, and latch hook rugs. She was a NE sports fan, especially the Patriots. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Her funeral service will be held on Fri. Feb. 17 at 11 a.m. in Jackman Funeral Home, 7 Mechanic St., Douglas. Burial will follow in Fairview cemetery, S. Grafton.
