Ardis Varian Bogosian, a long-time resident of Little Silver NJ, died peacefully at home on January 24th at the age of 91.
Ardis is survived by her three children: Nina Quigley (Matthew) of New York NY, Diane Fanshel (Ethan) of San Anselmo CA and Mark Bogosian (Carol) of Colorado Springs CO, as well as her seven grandchildren: Sona Quigley, Ani Quigley, Meline Quigley, Alexander Fanshel, Liza Fanshel, Katie Fanshel and Gregory Bogosian. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Nishan in 2004. They were married in Worcester, MA in 1953.
Born on May 16, 1931 in Philadelphia, PA to Vahe and Ashken Varjabedian, Ardis was a graduate of Plainfield High School in 1949 and secretarial school in 1951. After a number of different office support jobs, Ardis found her calling when she became the proud owner of the plus-size women’s boutique Tiger Lily, Ltd. in Little Silver in the 1980s and 1990s. Ardis had many passions including cooking, sewing, knitting and reading. However, her greatest joy by far came from being with her family.
The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the caregivers of Visiting Angels, VNA Hospice and VNA Visiting Physicians.
Her funeral will be held on Saturday March 25, 2023 at 11:00 am at Soorp Asdvadzadzin Armenian Apostolic Church in Whitinsville MA, with interment to follow at Pine Grove Cemetery, Whitinsville.
