She was predeceased by her son Kevin J. Russell, her granddaughter Melissa Rice; and 5 siblings, Hormidas Chausse, Norbert Chausse, Raymond Chausse, Matilda Morin, and Theresa Chausse.
Born in Northbridge on September 20, 1930, Annette was the daughter of Joseph and Laura (Poudrier) Chausse and grew up and lived her early years in Northbridge. She was educated at the Good Shepherd School in Linwood.
A hard worker, Mrs. Russell was employed at Bernat Yarn Co. in Uxbridge, the Tupperware Co. in Blackstone, and the Hanora Co. in Woonsocket. A former member of St. Augustine’s Church in Millville, she was active in their St. Monica’s Guild. Annette lived life to the fullest throughout her 94 years. She was an avid knitter, and enjoyed bingo, playing cards, and the occasional trip to Atlantic City and Foxwoods. Fittingly, she ended her Bingo career on a win just last month. Always smiling, Annette had an infectious laugh and was known for her wit and sarcasm. Above all else, she loved family gatherings, cookouts, and spending time with her children and grandchildren on many adventures over the years. The fabric of her life was family and she was the center of the family for so many years.
Her Funeral Mass will be held Friday, February 21, at 11 am in St. Mary Church, 77 Mendon St. Uxbridge. Cremation burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
