Ana Majkut

Douglas- Ana Majkut, 89, of Arch St., passed away peacefully at her home on Mon. Sept. 13, 2021 with her daughters at her side, after a period of declining health. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph J. Majkut in 1991.

         She is survived by her 2 daughters, Christine A. Lavallee and Elizabeth M. Emery both of Douglas; and her neighbors whom she called her adopted grandchildren, Teddy, Rachel, Audrey, Billy, Peter, and Tommy. Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina on February 9, 1932 Ana met her husband while he was in the war and they moved together to New Jersey. They moved to Douglas in 1966.

         Ana worked as a spinner for the former Guilford Industries in Douglas for many years. loved gardening both flowers and vegetables and was often found in her yard. She had everything from fruit trees to honeybees. Ana also enjoyed baking, and was a great cook always cooking really authentic meals. She was kind, loving, compassionate, and understanding. She was a sweet woman who will be sorely missed.

         There will be no services for Ana at this time.
