Uxbridge- Amelia E. (Susskey) Dogil, 93, resident of Beaumont Nursing Home in Northbridge, formerly of Millhaus Apartments, Upton died on Tues. Dec. 24 at Beaumont Nursing Home. Her husband Francis E. "Frank" Dogil died Sept. 14, 2004.
She is survived by a son Francis E. Dogil of Poughkeepsie, NY; a daughter Karen D. Carter of LaCanada, CA; a brother Francis J. Susskey of Uxbridge; two granddaughters Emily E. Scida of Charlottesville, VA and Julie D. Dogil of Centreville, VA; and several nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by a brother Stanley Suski and sisters Rose Susskey and Phyllis Dogil. Born in Douglas on April 8,1920 she was the daughter of Stanley M. and Salome (Kmiecik) Susskey and lived in Uxbridge, Worcester, Upton and Auburn.
Mrs. Dogil worked at the Uxbridge Worsted Company and as a bookkeeper at Harpers Women’s Specialty Shop in Worcester. She was an avid reader and enjoyed crossword puzzles. She was a member of St. Mary's Church.
Her funeral will be held Mon. Dec. 30 from Tancrell-Jackman Funeral Home, 35 Snowling Rd. Uxbridge with a Mass at 10:30 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, 71 Mendon St. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. A Calling hour at the funeral home will be Mon.
