To the LaJoie Family,
I am so sorry for your loss.  Your father "Georgie" holds a very special place in my heart and my daughter Neve's heart.  I loved  chatting with him on my walks by the house and always looked forward to his wave as I drove by. Whenever I saw him he had a song to sing to Neve and I and always a great story to tell. On his drives around town he would always stop to say hi.   I have fond memories of the tennis years and his friendship with my dad.   He will be greatly missed.   I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers.
My sincere condolences
Julie McMurray and Neve

My sincere condolences to the Lajoie family on the passing of George. When I first began my teaching/coaching career at Uxbridge High, George was one of the first people to welcome me aboard. Whenever I ran into him , be it at one of the playing fields, the gymnasium, or out and about town, George was always talking about a recent game or upcoming contest. Always upbeat and positive, a true supporter of UHS athletics ! It was an honor to have known him.

Lajoie family,
My family and I are so saddened to hear about Georges passing.
George was our neighbor, but he was a lot more than a neighbor, he was a dear friend
whom always had a smile and a good word.  He and Tina always made my family and I feel so welcome since the day we moved in next door. He had such a infectious way of telling his stories, such a warm, kind, gentle man.
We also had so much in common, especially our love for New England sports, old TV shows especially the Three Stooges. So many times, he would tell me on a daily a daily basis, how blessed and proud he was of his three wonderful daughters Jane, Laurie & Susan he truly adored (s) them. Also, how fond he was of his son in laws and all
his grandchildren and family. He was truly a good friend going to miss him! We have lost a good friend, but heaven has gained
an Angel in George, I bet he's in heaven throwing the ball around with Ted Williams! Thank you George for being such a good friend and a
wonderful neighbor. Going to miss you dearly! my friend!!!!

Tue September 01, 2020 era in laughs, jokes, smiles, kindnesses is in transition to the next level.  But, we who shared of his presence will loving linger for time to come of what we were able to share.  Always the big, bright smile coule be seen coming down the street if he knew he was approaching you.  Sometimes I used to think you could set a clock by Georgie's drives through town...I'd see a silver car coming and would squint to see the  Bronze Star coming toward me.  Many's the time he'd stop for a chat and an update and a joke.
I recall some of the early family gatherings where Georgie would appear and entertain us with his positive outlook on whatever the subject was.  Over the years, George and Fostine would always come up in conversation whether we'd seen them lately or not.  It was just last Saturday that I ran into Cousin Maria in the parking lot of Wal*Mart and were talking about them....and.  Everyone who met Georgie, it seems has so many good memories.  He was a presence in town.  He was such a wonderful cousin.  We will miss him dearly, but we'll sit now and then and bring up a "Georgie Story" to re-ignite those moments.  My condolences to Fostine, Janie, Laurie and Susan and their families.

I was so sad to hear of George's passing. I have such fond memories of him greeting me and chatting a little bit after Mass at St. Mary's. He always seemed to recognize me, although it might be many days or weeks between chats. Fostine, you area a special person and I have such good memories of working with you for Morning Star Ministry. You and George were always so upbeat and friendly towards me. So glad I got to know both of you, even if the connections were sometimes brief. Sending prayers of peace for your family.

Tina -  Our sympathies go out to you and your entire family.  George always had a smile for everyone and would call out from his front porch if he saw us walk by (even stopped the car to say hi if passing us on another street if we were walking).  He will be greatly missed and well remembered by all who knew him.
