I am out of town and will be unable to make it to attend the visitation. I always admired Dave, and he taught me many things about the knife industry, including visits to France, England, and Germany. Dave deserves his place on our Wall of Fame, and was a genuine, honorable man. My sympathies to Yvette and your family.
Sincerely,

Alan Peppel

Yvette, I am so sorry to read of David's passing.  He was a fine man and a wonderful person to work with at Russell Harrington (now Dexter Russell).

Yvette, Phil,Marie,Michelle, and Celeste, I am SO sorry for the loss of your dad.(Husband to Yvette). When I met Phil at Photo club in Sutton High School, we became great friends very quickly. Shortly,he invited me to come to his house in Manchaug on Darling Lane.I met David, Yvette and sisters and became part of their family VERY quickly as well. Today, Friday, after my dad informed me of his passing, I delayed my trip to Boston for business and went straight to that well known address of Darling Lane in Manchaug to pay my respects to my extended family. Yvette greeted me at the door and after a long sympathy hug, swiftly said "come in and have some food and drink" She knew before I'd even ask the old question, ' BUT WHEN DO WE EAT?" This line (coined by myself  )was part of an old family joke as I was 'an adopted' member of the Picard family. Rest in Peace David and I hope you take your camera to Heaven because you will get the most beautiful photos there. I even bet you will help God compose and light them for us hear on earth.

We are so sad to hear of David's passing but grateful that he passed quickly. He was a kind, talented and loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. We loved his photographs and his wit. We will miss you greatly, my friend. Sending love to Yvette and all her family. See you soon.

My condolences to the family.  I came to know David with his involvement in Town business.  A number of people were impressed by his calm, low key, thoughtful approach to the subject at hand.  He declined my several efforts to have him more involved with the workings of the Town - a loss for all of us.  My sincere admiration of and sympathies to his wife who cared for David at home and at St Camillus.
