Uxbridge- George W. O’Brien, 49, passed away on Wed. Feb. 24, 2021 at Oakhill Nursing Home in Pawtucket, RI after struggling with health issues due to a brain tumor.
He is survived by his son, Ryan O’Brien of Woonsocket, RI; 2 brothers Lynden J. O’Brien of Woonsocket, RI and Timothy O’Brien Jr. of Millville; a sister Ellen J. Wyman of NH; and several nieces, nephews, and great- nieces and nephews.
Born on March 16, 1971 in Milford, MA, George was the son of Timothy J. O’Brien Sr. and Shirley F. (Fitton) O’Brien. Before his illness, George worked at LeClairs Siding and Windows in Woonsocket. A very creative and artistic person, George loved making car models and drawing. He was educated in the Uxbridge school system and Valley Tech High School. Very artistic, he loved drawing and collecting model cars and matchbox cars. Much like his mother, he had a green thumb and was an avid gardner.
