Douglas- Amy C. (Ritchie) Banner, 90, died Thurs. Nov 7, 2019 at St. Camillus Healthcare where she had been a resident the past 9 years. Her husband Malcolm Banner died in 1987.

     She is survived by a son Bruce J. Banner; her daughter Lynne D. Banner and Linda Johnson of Douglas; family friend, Carol Fraser of Shrewsbury; and several nieces and nephews. She also leaves her beloved grand dogs Mattison, Jaimie, and Ryleigh. She was predeceased by a son, Donald Banner and a brother, James Ritchie. Born in Milton on Dec. 28, 1928, she was the daughter of James and Amy (Crofts) Ritchie and grew up in the Jamaica Plain area before moving to Norwood, and then Franklin. She moved to Douglas in 2000.

    Amy worked as a Bank Teller for the State Street Bank in Boston for 30 years. A graduate of Jamaica Plain High School she loved reading, gardening, and watching golf. She was a member of the Clan Sutherland out of Brookline. Her family wishes to thank the staff at St. Camillus especially Nikki and Katy for their exceptional care and support as well as NP, Kimba Bouchard.

     Her Celebration of Life will be held on Fri. Nov. 22nd at 2 PM at Blissful Meadows Golf Club, 801 Chocolog Rd, Uxbridge, MA 01569. Lynne I am so sorry for the loss of your mom. She was such a sweet lady and we miss her already. I guess Heaven needed another angel, and they chose your mom. Take care.

I was so sorry to hear you lost your Mom. I only knew her from our time together at St Camillus, but I feel we developed a special bond and I loved her. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
